North South University is famous for its high standards and competitive atmosphere. North South University has the largest number of students in Bangladesh, with more than 40,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students.
NSU’s alumni includes Nobel laureates Amartya Sen and Muhammad Yunus. The university also has a str必利勁 ong international dimension; it was ranked among the top 200 universities in the world by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) rankings in 2008-2009.
North South University is one of the most famous universities in Bangladesh and is known for its excellent medical and engineering departments. NSU has a history that dates back to 1885 when it was established as Dhaka College by two Scottish Presbyterian missionaries, Mr. William Chalmers and Dr. James Wilson.
The university’s main campus is located in Dhanmondi which houses all faculties including Arts, Science, Law, Business Management & Economics, Medicine & Pharmacy, Engineering (Civil) and Engineering (Electrical).
